Honda Lock Management Principles
Towards the creation of a new corporate culture
"Since its foundation in 1962, Honda Lock has been growing and developing globally, but we must continue to evolve to leap even further forwards." Based on this thinking, we implemented a company philosophy in April 2004 as a concept above our company principles and management policies, one that would lead the company to the place we would like to be.
Our philosophy describes, in simple terms, our founder's beliefs and the fundamental thinking we value for continued corporate activity (philosophy) or sense of value. The collective practice of our employees appreciating the philosophy as their own, will lead to the formation of a trusted company whose presence is valuable to others.
Our fundamental beliefs, company principles and management policies together form the "Honda Lock Philosophy."
Rather than seeing it as a mere collection of words, our employees appreciate and share an understanding of the corporate philosophy, which we put into practice with pride and responsibility.

"Respecting others" calls on us to nurture and promote individual characteristics in our company by respecting individual differences and trusting each other as equal partners.
Self-reliance means not to be bound by preconceived ideas, but to think creatively and act on your own initiative and judgment, while understanding that you must take responsibility for the results of those actions.
Equality means to recognize and respect individual differences in one another and treat each other fairly. Our company is committed to this principle and to creating equal opportunities for each individual. An individual' s race, sex, age, religion, national origin, educational background, social or economic status have no bearing on the individual' s opportunities.
The relationship among associates at Honda Lock should be based on mutual trust. Trust is created by recognizing each other as individuals, helping out where others are deficient, accepting help where we are deficient, sharing our knowledge, and making a sincere effort to fulfill our responsibilities.
"Creating joy" indicates our belief in continuing to pursue and create new value together with everyone concerned with the corporate activities of Honda Lock, based on "respecting others."
In order for us to develop and grow in our corporate activities, many of those activities need to be appreciated and accepted in each region. For that, we must earn the confidence of each region and be welcomed. Beyond merely providing employment opportunities and paying taxes, the company, its groups and its individual members are all expected to contribute to the development of the local region and to take part in activities that will create joy for both sides.
The expectations of society and of the customer are changing. In order to sincerely respond to those changing needs and create mutual joy, "creativity and determination" are essential in our personal activities as well. After creating a certain level of joy, we will expand and develop our activities to reach the next level.
